Gum Leaf was born out of our love of music and the environment. It’s no secret that large music events generate substantial waste, but we embrace the challenge working with festivals to reduce landfill year after year.
We are constantly adapting our systems to improve the streamlining of event waste, and for each festival we produce sustainability reports analysing the festival’s impact.
We have successfully managed waste logistics for major events with nearly 20,000 attendees, coordinating over 60 staff members and hundreds of volunteers to ensure efficient and sustainable operations.
Our team is committed to meticulous festival waste streaming, ensuring every material stream is accurately separated, audited and processed to maximise diversion from landfill. We work closely with event organisers and onsite teams to implement tailored systems, continuous monitoring and clear reporting that deliver measurable sustainability outcomes.
We foster a positive and healthy workplace by providing clear safety procedures and training for both staff and volunteers. A culture of respect and teamwork ensures the environment remains safe, enjoyable and engaging for everyone.
